TECHNICAL

Austvision High Strength (H.S.) Stub Post fittings will suit:

Glass panels 8mm up to 19mm thick.
Glass Panels – toughened (tempered), flat and curved glass, toughened laminated glass and toughened patterned, rolled or slump glass.
Other materials such as Polycarbonate perspex, PVC sheeting are all within the scope for the supply and install package to conform to the Australian Standard AS1926 Swimming Pool Safety and AS1288-2006 Glass in Buildings.

Grout Fixings
Austvision Stub Post is manufactured from high strength austenitic-ferritic 329 grade stainless steel which has excellent strength and resistance Characteristics to stress-corrosion, cracking and chemical attack by Chlorinated water and resistance

Surface Mounting
The ultimate strength of the 329 grade stainless steel is 850 MPa thisis equivalent to the strength of 2205 grade duplex stainless steel on bars and plates which is over double the strength of 304 and 316 grade stainless steel commonly used in the building/construction industries.

Austvision H.S. Stub Post is designed with dual fixing technology to ensure no stress concentration around and on the toughened glass panel holes and that the stresses on the glass panel are uniformly distributed along the fixing edges. As a result Austvision H.S. Stub Post carries higher wind, live and human impact loads and extra high bending and deflection value for reliable performance.

Austvision H.S. Stub Post stainless steel fittings have been laboratory tested and conform to Australian Standards AS1926.1, AS1926.2 – 1995 Swimming Pool Safety for Domestic and Commercial Installations and AS1288 – 2006 on Balustrade Installations.

Finish: Standard Finish – Satin Stainless Steel No. 4 Linish or Brush Finish - (Polish Stainless Steel No. 6 available on application).

Note: • Glass Thickness based on allowable deflection, limited to span/30 or 30mm Max.
• AS1288-2006 Section 7.0
• Indicative Dimensons Based on Glass Strength Subjected to ULS wind load only
